Missy’s Place Facial Review

I was gifted with a facial voucher for Missy's Place in Willoughby, Sydney for my birthday by a very good friend of mine ms Kylie, and I finally had the opportunity to find out what all the fuss was about.

I went with Kylie and another friend and my first thoughts were 'oh no' it is on a main road - then we walked inside and I was instantly taken to "skincare heaven". Calming decor with smiling faces and welcoming voices set the scene for what was to be a wonderful experience. Read on...

The Freedom of Being Borne Naked – The Ultimate Bag Liner Review

Do you have more than one handbag and always forget to transfer something across each time you switch? Or worse still keep buying things for each bag?

I realized that it was becoming an expensive exercise to buy up to 5 of everything for each key handbag that I used. So I thought I would try out a handbag organizer by Borne Naked that I had heard so much about.

Yoghurt Plus Dog Food Review

My best friend (Maverick my puppy) was given then chance to trial a brand new type of Dog Food. It is called Yoghurt Plus and as most fanatical mothers of new dogs know, there are some great components within natural yoghurt that can really help the growth of your puppy - well these guys have added that to dry food.

I kept a journal of how the new food went down with Mr Maverick.

Uncle Tobys Fruit Fix or Fruit Sugar Fix? Review by Dietitian

I think it's about time some of these label messages need to be explained. So...you're thinking these snacks are healthy right?  Well look at what these claims really mean and make up your own mind. Read on...

If Not Dieting, Then What? Book Review by a Dietitian

Australians spend over $1million per day on weight loss products.  So why is it that so many of us are overweight and struggle to keep the weight off?  Could it be as simple as the word diet or is there more to it...

Diets generally speaking are developed to help us cut down on our energy intake.  Have a think about it - the High Protein Diet: who could sit down and eat chicken tenders by the packet load, or cans of tuna for breakfast for the rest of their lives. The Cabbage Soup Diet: need I say anymore? One bowl of that and I'm out! The 'Eat One Food Type Per Day' Diet: bananas one day, lettuce the next..how boring.  Read on...

Performax Compression Tights Review

CompressionTights2As a runner I know the importance of a pair of tights, both in the aesthetics to make sure I look good, and the cut for performance and practicality.  There has been so much hype regarding the use of compression fabrics and weaves of late with the emergence of brands such as Skins, BSCi and Performax to name a few.  The big brands of Adidas and Nike have also come to the party with their own versions.  But do they really work and if they do, what is it they are supposed to do?

Photoshop or Make-up?

JennHawkinsSo here we go again, another celebrity - Jennifer Hawkins this time, getting photographed without the touch-ups. Have you heard the reports? A few dimples on her legs, a crease - yes a crease not a roll or a fold of fat on her hip, and uneven skin tone.

Gee, if thats all I had going wrong for me I wouldnt mind getting a 'bare it all' photo done either! I think what magazines such as Marie Claire need to be mindful of is that no matter what model they get to do one of these types of shots they are always going to have the bare minimum of faults. And making her face look absolutely stunning by packing on the make-up just takes focus off her 'faults' anyway.
